Actually any caliber other than 30-30,or 32win special, will bring a 40% premium to the value of any saddle ring carbine model 1894 Winchester.I can only assume that the 32-40(32WCF) and 25-35Win.would be the 2 most rare calibers in the saddle ring carbine version of the model 1894.
The description of 30 WCF SR is commonly found on rifles that have a Saddle Ring. (SR} Carbines are described as (SRC). Hope this helps. Steve
The Winchester saddle ring rifle costs $3,950. The rifle was manufactured in the year 1904 with?æa scare 25-35 caliber.
I believe the 94 Winchester was originally chambered in 32-40. I'm not sure how rare they are but the John Wayne Commemorative of ~1980 was chambered for 32-40, possibly the first factory chambering since WW II. My example is serial numbered JW23353 so I suspect there are several 10s of thousands out there. I believe the 94 Winchester was originally chambered in 32-40. your Winchester model 1894 saddle ring carbine was made by Winchester in 1914.
In excellent condition, we have seen them selling for $400-$500. sales@countrygunsmith.net
these pre-war saddle ring carbines have been selling for between 350-500 dollars depending on the overall condition of the rifle(the amount of blueing left on the metal surfaces and finish left on the stock).
value depends on overall condition. And, I think you mean 45/70 cal. for the 1986 model or do you mean 1886 ???????????
I was told by the Dealer when I purchased mine that they only made 500. Mine is in the 400 range. But I recently saw one at a Gun show that was in the 600 range. That would mean they probably made at least 1000 of them.
That is hard to say without a detailed description of the carbines overall condition including the bore. These are very highly collected, and a carbine in very good condition with most of it,s original finish could bring a high sume.I would have a Winchester Collectors assoc member give it a appraisel.By the way your carbine was made by Winchester in the year 1919.
The only Winchester 94's made in .44-40 that I am aware of were commemorative models. What other markings are on the gun? sales@countrygunsmith.net
