Is 3 GB of data for the iPhone 5 enough for someone who is consistently using the Internet and app store?

As a user of the 2GB data plan, I can say I have never come close to even using 25% of my data because I never download apps over cellular and only watch videos over cellular sparringly an on low 240p quality. I do use Safari regularly, loading dozens of wepages and photos per day, but that does not seem to do any damage at all to my data.
My recommenadtions for you:
- do not download/update apps on cellular; instead try taking note of an app you wish to download on Notes or add it to the Wish List (an iOS 7 feature) for when you get home or to some Wi-Fi hotspot
- if you are going to watch YouTube videos and don't want to waste as much data, get the "Jasmine - YouTube Client" app (when in Wi-Fi of course); this app has a setting to choose YouTube quality, a feature I have not been able to find anywhere else
- you can do as much web-Surfing and emailing and social networking as you like, these use very little data
