You should put on around 20 pounds. Ideally you want to be 170-185 and 5'8-5'11. But it also depends on the type of offense the high school your going to plays. Im a 5'9 170 freshman and play Middle Linebacker and i can typically destroy a smaller fullback and get straight to the half back and I'm not the best linebacker on my team so a little weight will definately help you. You might wanna work on your speed and become a halfback instead.
Height and weight doesn't determine a football player. It's their skill. Tiki Barber, a great running back, was under 5'11. If your 6 ft 10 and 410 pounds you have a really good chance as a linebacker or as someone on either the defensive or offensive line, but you have to have the skill.
