I think the reccommended dose is 1 200mg tablet of ibuprofen for every 60 pounds of body weight so a person weighing 150 pounds should take 3 Ibuprofen. If the pain is severe maybe 800mg every 6 hours for a few days, but no more than a few days then consult with a licensed FNP or DO.
