If by cellular respiration you mean the citric acid cycle and electron transport chain the answer is, it depends on the amount of oxygen.

In the presence of enough oxygen, yes cellular respiration takes place and each glucose molecule will produce 36-38 ATP.

Without enough oxygen, which is necessary to accept the electrons from the electron transport chain, the whole chain grinds to a halt which stops the citric acid cycle too. Pyruvate, with nowhere to go, gets converted into lactic acid. This process is called fermentation and produces no ATP beyond the two produced in glycolysis.

So to sum up:

1) Plenty of oxygen leads to cellular respiration following glycolysis.

2) Insufficient oxygen leads to fermentation following glycolysis.
