part of alchemy was taking certain things and turning them into something else. e.g cooking.
Answer 2:It is always real and will always be.
the main true goals of alchemy were:
1. "perfect" ordinary metals into their purest state: gold
2. "perfect" humans into their purest state: everlasting life and/or eternal youth through the "elixer of life".
3. (some other minor and less popular goals were to create a "universal solvent", a liquid which could dissolve any substance (including the container it was in), and to create homunculi, or artificial humans)
thanks to alchemy, most of these can be preformed now or in the near future.
but if you think about it, without alchemy, we wouldn't have human life. you have to learn to crawl before you learn to walk.
(if you have any other goals of alchemy and/or more detailed explanations of the goals, please add to my answer, but don't delete it. thank you.)
yea it was real but they werent able to change anything to gold because back then they didnt have the technology to add and remove electrons to elements to change them to gold.
alchemy is cooking. So cook

No, though a modern form of alchemy would be nuclear physics. Nuclear bomb making and that sort of stuff.
Alchemy was a past medieval phenomenon based on making potions for certain reasons. So alchemy does exist to a certain extent now in modern society.
Answer: Alchemy is not real Answer: Nicolas Flamel was a real person who lived some centuries ago.
You don't. Alchemy is a false science. Even at the time when they thought there was such a thing as alchemy, they had no clue what genetics was. So they probably didn't know either, and even if alchemy was real and you managed to figure how to engineer a cat from like a piece of lead or something you would probably be hanged as a witch. So there really is no way.
Well Alchemy is the belief that you can turn any metal into pure gold. This was a real scientific practice long ago and many sorcerers tried it also. What Literary Alchemy is, I don't know but Alchemists and Sorcerers who tried Alchemy are on Chocolate Frog Trading Cards. What Literary Alchemy really is and if Harry and co. ever learn it at Hogwarts, I don't know.
