What are some good cheapish birthday party ideas for a 14 year old girl apart from a sleepover?

its not necessarily cheap, but she would probably enjoy going to a photoshoot with her friends, somewhere like fotogenix. Or if you look in newspapers like the sun, they do discounts for theme parks like Alton towers. she would like to go to Alton towers with her friends, then to top it off, have a sleepover with lots of sweets at the end of the night :)

Where is Alton Towers Is it in the United States or in United Kingdom. Do people have a lot of fun there Do you think you would like going there if you live in Illinois?

Alton Towers is based in the UK, Staffordshire to be precise. It attracts over 2 million visitors a year, so I would say it's fun. I think you would probably like going there, however as it looks like you're based in the US, I think you might have to be a bit disappointed on this one!
