Note that this question asks for an opinion. Below the line is one opinion. The comment about the type of glass would refer to a particular hardware manufacturer. There are many manufacturers who make devices which run Android (Motorola, HTC, Samsung, to name a few). There is only one hardware manufacturer for Apple. There are certain Android devices which can be at least as expensive as a similar Apple device. But there are many Android devices which are inexpensive. The lower end models will not be able to do as much or run as fast, though.
Yes, Android runs faster and is much less expensive than apple. Apple is expensive and the screens are very breakable, unlike Android, the screens are maxi glass so they are really nice! That's my opinion, but my mom brother and sisters like apple better.

No, because with Apple you have to buy the ipad or iphone which are the only devices you can buy, and there are both very expensive. With Android you have more device options like the Samsung Galaxy, Motorola Xoom, Toshiba Thrive, and Black Berry Play Book. Android also power the two new digital readers, the Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet. The over all price of Apple is $400 - $700, while with Android the prices are from $250 - $1000+. Also Android is, in my opinion easier to use than an Apple. Finally, Android is more open to installing apps from outside sources and it is legal to jailbreak or root Android devices. The Android Market may not have as much of a selection of apps, but the price on the apps tend to be cheaper. With Apple you can only download apps from the App Store (Apple's Market), it is also illegal to jailbreak you Apple device. So, in answer to your question Android is better than Apple.
