The Answers.com / WikiAnswers site is the user community of Answers.com, and is only useful when it pairs a good question with a good answer. There are a large number of good answers from motivated volunteers, but there are also a large number of bad answers from people who really have no business being on the site. We work on cleaning those up, but there are always going to be new ones, or ones that we miss. You should ignore the rude or pointless answers and seek out a related question that may provide a suitable response. If you don't see your question, ask it.
If you have a question about the site, ask any Supervisor, or write to support @ answers.com.

Not usually, a lot of sites that let anyone edit can have inaccurate answers. While a totally whacked out question could be asked it will be answered if it can be. If its inappropriate then it will be removed. It really depends on who's answering and who's on the site at any time. All in all, Answers.com is a website trying to do a good thing, and while there are vandals and spammers on it, it's still a really good website to get information from when of course you are either needing an answer or have to ask that burning question that needs an answer! If asking a question, make sure the question is in the correct category as you will have a better chance of it being answered.
No actually it's number one of it's type if you mean ratings, if you are looking for opinions the only one germane to you would be yours but you would have to join, try it and then see if you like it to decide if you want to continue using
Yes. It tries very hard to bring together a community of people who are prepared to help others with accurate information.
