Argentina has a high HDI and living standard and along with Chile and Uruguay is one of the richest countries of Latin America.

Argentina is a medium income Country. Nevertheless, the potential it has due to the high education level of ts population, along with the natural resources it has, it should be a rich Country. Unfortunately, the unwise economic policies implemented by the current Government, as well as previous ones, have caused Argentina's people to achieve living standards well below its potential. The trend is that Argentina's comparative advantages would be diminishing in the future.
