No. Arizona is in MST and Oregon is in PST. Arizona is one hour ahead of Oregon.

Yes, the time in most of Oregon is the same as the time in most of Arizona most of the year.

Most of Oregon alternates between UTC-8 & UTC-7, and most of Arizona is on UTC-7 all year. So their times are the same from the 2nd Sunday of March to the 1st Sunday of November. During the rest of the year Arizona is 1 hour ahead of most of Oregon, but it has the same time as the rest of Oregon.

The names of the time zones are different, but Pacific Daylight Saving Time and Mountain Standard Time are both UTC-7.

Yes and no. For the most part, Nevada uses Pacific Standard Time (GMT -8), while Arizona uses Mountain Time (GMT -7). However, West Wendover, located in the northeast corner of Nevada, has used Mountain Time since 1999, after a declaration by the United States Department of Transportation.

Why do the clocks at Hoover Dam have different times?

The dam straddles the boundary between Nevada and Arizona. Nevada is in the Pacific Time Zone (GMT-8) whereas Arizona is in the Mountain Time Zone (GMT-7) and is therefore 1 hour ahead. However, since Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time but Nevada does, during the summer the clocks on both sides will be the same time.

Is Arizona the same timezone as los angeles?

Arizona is kind of an Odd Duck in that it doesn't officially recognize daylight savings time. It's officially in the Mountain time zone while LA is in the Pacific time zone, but for about half the year clocks read the same in Arizona as they do in LA even though in Arizona it's called MST (Mountain Standard Time) and in LA it's called PDT (Pacific Daylight Time).
