If there is an Asda in Bristol then that's the same group of companies as Walmart. Walmart is Asda's trading name for its stores in America.
It's weekly, every Friday. You also get paid for the week before hand. So for working 1st Dec 2007 to the 7th Dec 2007, you'd get for this work on the 14th Dec 2007.

its a huge scale business, asda stores as big too but not as big as the new SUPER stores.. you find any facilities e.g. -laundrette. -travel agents. -toiets for both genders & disabled. -opticians. -mobile provider. etc.. ASDA have 500 stores in the UK and employ over 175 000. They have many stores abroad with different spellings but the same products etc. In many different countries.

ASDA is one of the larger supermarket chains in the UK with a national coverage. Since 1999 it has been owned by Walmart and therefore ASDA is Walmart's entry into the UK. There are no publicized plans to expand the ASDA brand name to other countries. Certainly, to operate in the US would likely do nothing more than dilute the Walmart brand name.
