There really is no Call of Duty 5 , 6 or 7 and that is the confusion. People playing the Call of Duty series game started using the number and continued way after the company stopped. If you count the actual Call of Duty series games there is not six or seven games, but way more. The individuals who use the numbers are closest if they call them release years. Besides the different World at War Final Fronts for the PS2 that is clearly not the same game that was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 there are over a dozen others released for the Portables and Nintendo Wii systems that are different. No game is Call of Duty 6 or COD6
