Is Christian rock okay

Though the words may be acceptable to God, the music is not. Rock Music is to promote movement of the body and such movements can be an abomination to God. It is not music that is an accord with the reverent praise of God. There is nothing beautiful about it. It is not uplifting but downgrading and irreverent.

"As they danced, they sang: 'Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands.'"

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

1 There is a time for everything,

and a season for every activity under the heavens:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

Jeremiah 31:3-5

3 The LORD appeared to us in the past,[a] saying:

Dance is dance is dance. You are never responsible for what someone else does, but you are responsible for what you do with it. Nothing that God created is an "abomination." What Man does with God's creation can be.

All music is intended to precipitate bodily movement; it is a joyous sound and the Creator intended for us to be joyful. Not wanton, not malicious. Joyful.

The short side of it is: Make up your own mind. As a Christian, you believe in some form of final judgment. It will be you standing there being examined. Those who would judge you here on Earth will not be there to defend you then, nor will you have opportunity to defend them for the shortfalls.
