Cuba and Puerto Rico are two separate islands in the Caribbean. Cuba is larger than Puerto Rico, though they are both Spanish-speaking nations. They were both settled by the Spanish adventurers of the late 15 century.
Haiti and Dominican republic is southeast of Cuba. Puerto Rico is also southeast of Cuba. But Haiti and Dominican republic is closer.
