Broadband is faster than any dial up connection usally by at least 10-30 times faster speed.
DSL is faster
Sky Broadband may be more expensive than DSL but offers improved throughput which leads to faster speeds. Many DSL providers can't match the speeds of Sky Broadband.
Speed, mainly. Broadband (cable internet) is going to be much faster than DSL.
DSL internet service is much faster than broadband. It is usually about the same speed as broadband, but this varies depending on where one is and the provider one uses.
DSL is considered to be broadband speed. There is a difference in speed between DSL and Cable. Cable is generally much faster.
DSL, Cable modems, wireless internet and satellite internet.
Broadband can be either cable or DSL, depending on the area in which you live. The speeds can vary greatly, but you can be assured it will be much faster than dial-up.
Cable broadband does not necessarily cost more money than DSL broadband. The cost will depend on the company providing the service.
I am not familiar with PeoplePC but I do know that ANY broadband connection is faster than DSL. The reason: DSL runs through unused wires in your phone line. This is not good for transfering data. Still it's better than dial-up. Broadband uses a much much larger cable designed for sending and receiving vast amounts of information very quickly. Broadband runs through a coaxial cable - the same thing that plugs into your television.
DSL is broadband
Sprint broadband isn't for international calling. Sprint's broadband services are actually for using the internet. It's considered DSL and is faster than other internet.
DSL is always the less expensive and usually more reliable than satellite broadband. The only reason to choose satellite broadband is if DSL and cable are not available in your area. There is no wiring necessary for satellite broadband internet and it is available with a permanent connectivity with constant bandwidth. You do not need a phone line and it may be available in rural areas where DSL is not available. Given a choice, I beleive most would choose DSL over satellite broadband. DSL will provide you with a faster and more stable connection when compared to satellite broadband.
