Which city has a higher population Houston or Dallas in 2010?

Houston is the nation's 4th largest city, and the largest city in Texas. San Antonio is the 2nd largest city in Texas, and Dallas is 3rd. Dallas' metro area is largest in Texas, but that is because it is combined with that of nearby Fort Worth. Without Fort Worth, the Dallas metro population would rank 2nd in Texas.

Is Arlington Texas a suburb of San Antonio Texas?

No, try Fort Worth. Arlington is technically a city in it's own right (ranks in the 50 largest cities by population) but it lacks a central business district. It sits between Dallas and Fort Worth in Tarrent county (Fort Worth is the county seat) but is often considered a suburb of both Dallas and Forth Worth.

Is Fort Worth part of the greater Dallas area?

No, absolutely not! Fort worth is a major city and metropolitan area in it's own right, with a population of almost 750,000 in the city proper and well over 2,000,000 in the greater fort worth metro area. The fort worth and dallas metros are combined into the dallas-fort worth metropolitan area, the fourth largest metro area in the u.s., the 10th largest in the western hemisphere, and the largest completely-land-locked metro area in the world! But it's the dallas-fort worth area, not the dallas area, with a population of over 6,500,000 , but over 2,000,000 of those people live in the fort worth area! And everything west of the tarrant-dallas county line is in the fort worth metro area, not the dallas area, that includes Arlington, the Texas ranger ballpark in Arlington. Cowboy stadium, six flags over Texas, grapevine, the gaylord texan, great wolf lodge, and dfw links resorts, southlake, westlake, and the Texas motor speedway is in fort worth , in denton county.
