Alternatively, if you look online, there may be a commercially produced ointment available however this probably hasn't been approved by the TGA and hence isn't sold in pharmacies.
You can shave you legs...but I have found in my own experience that it only worsens the condition. I suggest you use moisturizers daily, and get a prescription from your doctor for a topical creme you can use to clear it up. Until everything is completely gone, do not shave. It should only take a couple of weeks.
