Well here's the thing. One Mtn. Dew a week or something like that does little to no damage to anything. However a significant amount can hurt a variety of things. One is the corrosion to your teeth. Only behind Sun Drop soda, Mtn. Dew is a leading causer of tooth decay. The high sugar content eats away the enamal on your teeth. Also the caffeine can become addicting. And if you go without it for even a few hours, you can experience very painful headaches. And probably the worst thing is in men it can decrease your sperm count due to a chemical that the use for sweetness. So drink them carefully!!..

Any soda, or fort that matter any consumable consumer product ( food, beverage, or oddly enough, even cosmetic) that poses or posed significant Health hazards ( for example Tab soda with its Cyclamates- said to cause Cancer in Mice and having a very bitter after-taste) would be yanked off the market by the FDA. Your tax dollars at work! Here in a positive sense. any real health hazards in the food ine would not be permitted to be marketed. I am a long time Mountain Dew habitue since the days of Palisades Park where it was, in effect the (House) drink- first 200 purchasers of ticket books on certain days ( many park users did not partake of ticket books, though) got a free six pack of Mountain dew, and a pleasant habit was born.

Mountain Dew is worse for you because it has no nutrition at all - just sugar and caffeine. Gatorade at least has some electrolytes and nutrients in it. Water is best for drinking.
