YES! I'm taking media certification level 1 for Best Buy too :O)
When you buy the surround sound hdtv, there will be instruction with it. Just do it as directed, step by step, connecting each wire to its inlet. It is pretty easy and takes little a time.
Connect a Home theater system with your HDTV and Plug the HDMI cable into it.
Most sound bars will create a virtual surround from the digital output on the TV. All current Toshiba HDTV's have optical digital audio outputs.
The KLV32ex400 has no surround output capability. The only audio output is a stereo 1/8" headphone jack. If you are using a Blu-Ray or HD cable or satellite receiver, you can run an optical or coaxial digital cable from those directly to the receiver for surround sound.
If you cannot find your remote to your TV, I would suggest that you could get up and turn off the TV with the buttons on the side, front, or underneath, the TV.
DVRs Support HDTV and DD?Generally, yes. HDTV and dolby digital are widely used, therefore the DVR capability is available.Additional info for the United States - some cable companies (Comcast, Time Warner) now offer DVRs from Motorola and Scientific Atlanta that record and playback in HD with whatever audio is broadcast; usually for only about $5/mo for the equipment rental. Satellite companies also offer this service. At this point all HD DVR boxes available in New Jersey record in HD and in Dolby Digital, as long as that is how the source is being broadcast from the cable company.
1080p is the highest standard of HDTV.
HDTV
digital noise reduction aka dnr I believe its a noise filter to keep sound crisp and clear without static ----------------------------------------------------- DNR on an HDTV is not for sound. It is for the picture quality. You only really need it on if you watch a lot of standard definition programs. It will make them look slightly better. It should be off if you are watching high definition.
Much lower than HDTV.
Standard Positioning Service high definition television
Xbox 360s come with the standard AV cable used to connect to a standard tube television. So, you do not need an HDTV. However, games do look a lot better in high-definition.
