An individual who's honest tells it like it is. So yes, Dorothy Gale tends to be honest in 'The Wizard of Oz'. She's straightforward about what she wants and what she expects from others.
The opposite of the honest person is the dishonest individual who's sneaky or who does things without appropriate consent or knowledge. So it also can be said that Dorothy has lapses in her honesty. One example is in the original 1900 book edition, when she sneaks food to the Cowardly Lion. She does so for a good cause, because otherwise the Lion will starve. But technically, she's being sneaky. The Wicked Witch of the West wants Dorothy, not the Lion, to have food from the Castle's supplies.
Another example, in the beloved 1939 film version, deals with the apple tree's apples. Dorothy knows that neither the tree nor the fruits belong to her. She doesn't seek out the necessary consent. She merely takes, and gets into a fight with the fruits' owner. Technically, she's being dishonest.
Oz appears to Dorothy as a giant head.
Yes, Dorothy cooperates very well with the other characters in 'The Wizard of Oz.'
Toto is the name of Dorothy Gale's dog in both the original 1900 book edition of 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz' and the beloved 1939 film version of 'The Wizard of Oz'.
