Yes it is illegal as you are downloading copyrighted material
Limewire is a peer to peer (P2P) network program that allows people to share files from a designated shared folder to everyone else that is using Limewire. It's useful in allowing nearly anything you can have on a computer to be readily accessible. On the downside (upside for some) it allows easy access to illegal material such as downloading songs without paying for them.
yes, this would basically be downloading pirated software(which is still piracy).
The chances of being prosecuted for the use of Limewire are slim to none, seeing as so many people use it, there is hardly anyway of you being chosen and besides until the laws are updated you'll be pretty much safe.

Not if you set it up properly. The person or people who you are downloading whatever from can see that you are downloading it and can stop you, but they can't control or access your computer apart from that. Anybody can access the files which you have set the be "shared." To see and change which files are shared, press tools -> options -> sharing and you'll see a list of folders. Anything in these folders can be accessed (but not changed or deleted). By default, Limewire shares your My Music folder and will also ask to search your computer for other shareable files. I would not recommend this, but instead keep one or two folders that you use only for sharing things on Limewire and do not keep confidential or personal files in them. To be sure others cannot access your system, it's a good idea to keep Windows updated and to use a firewall. I have linked this FAQ to others on those subjects.
Microsoft Access 2007 is one version of Microsoft's database software package. Microsoft Access comes with a variety of prebuilt database solutions.

LimeWire has started operating a store selling MP3 files in the US. An account is needed to access these files. In general LimeWire is not a store. LimeWire is software that connects your computer to other peoples computer (See links below) and they are connected to yours. You are sharing files (usually) illegally between computers. You have no way of knowing who you are connecting to, or who is connecting to you, or just what is in the file you are downloading - many will contain viruses etc. that can damage your computer.
