I was at Dunkirk Last year and it appears as if the East mole does still exist. The end of it is blocked off. AT the land end of the mole is a substantial German concrete bunker build obviusly after the evacuation in 1940. My father evacuated from the East mole in 1940 there may even be bullet holes in some parts of the mole but I am not sure that is what they were.
