Is North Park Theological Seminary a good Seminary?

Yes, North Park Theological Seminary is a good seminary. I have only taken one class there (on Spiritual Direction) but it was well-taught, challenging, based on Scripture, and very informative. I'm acquainted personally with several professors at the seminary and I have a great deal of respect for them. I appreciate how North Park values diversity, and this seems to be well-reflected in their seminary courses. If I were to attend seminary (which is very possible in the future), I would strongly consider North Park Seminary.

Is Covenant Bible College and Theological Seminary good?

Not much information is known about Covenant Bible College and Theological Seminary. There are schools with similar names, but not this exact name, that can be found and appear to be legitimate. Here is what one person says about it: I sent $150.00 dollar application and tuition fee to the school over six months ago, and now I cannot reach them. The phone lines have been cut off.

Is Bethany Divinity College and Seminary affiliated with the Church of the Brethern or Bethany Theological Seminary located in Indiana?

Answer No, Bethany Divinity College and Seminary is not, nor ever has been affiliated with the Church of the Brethern or Bethany Theological Seminary that is located in Indiana. Bethany Divinity College and Seminary is not a part of a denominational body, but rather is an independent, conservative, Bible based school, Baptist in identification, but trans-denominational in its student body. The school and its professors accept the Bible as the inerrant, infallible, inspired Word of God Bethany is a free-standing school, offering educational course subjects in Bible, Theology, Christian Education, and Bible related subjects; providing solid theological preparation for Christian ministry around the world. Here people can earn a Bachelor, Master or a Doctor degree through off campus studies.TRUE. But a crorrection.. IT IS NEITHER AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE NOR SEMINARY. The accrediting agency they list is bogus. If it is not accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education, Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada, then it is not accredited as a seminary. It is a diploma mill and not an accredited institution. Why else have they changed their name three times, and list the lowest price on the internet for an education. If it sounds too good to be true, watch out.

Where is the best seminary in the world?

There are as many good seminaries as there are people called to go to seminary. Each is different, uniquely designed to prepare people to serve (just as each member of the body of Christ is uniquely gifted to serve). Some questions to consider: *What is your denomination, and does that matter to you? *What is required by your denomination for ordination, if that's your goal? *What is your purpose for attending seminary (keeping in mind, of course, that God has good ways of changing your mind!)? For example, are you planning to go into congregational ministry, research/academia, or some other type of work? *Where do you fall on the conservative/liberal spectrum with regard to your theology? *Are you a woman? The list of questions could go on and on, but I list some to show that the process of choosing a seminary is very individual. Choosing a seminary has very little in common with choosing, say, an MBA program. One must find out whether a seminary will at once fit with what you believe and also challenge you to stretch your understanding of God and God's people. It should have faculty members that can mentor you in your walk. It should have facilities and resources that are accessible and useful to you. It should have programs that fit your interests and passions. If you are married or have other important relationships in your life, it should include those people in the seminary community. The best way to find the right seminary for you is to talk to folks you respect who have been to seminary and ask them why they chose their school. Also, campus visits are imperative! This place will be your physical and spiritual home for a good many years, so you need to experience it firsthand. Blessings to all who need this information, and blessings to all in your life who will support your endeavors!

Finding The Right Theological Seminary?

Theological seminary is a good choice for anyone who wants to pursue a future as a missionary or pastor. However, theological seminary is a value supplement to an educational background for anyone who wants to work for a major religious organization. There are two very important issues to consider before searching for schools.Future GoalsWhile not every student bound for theological seminary knows what he or she wants to do in the future, it is a good idea to have a general idea. For example, if a person wants to become a minister at a Protestant church, it is best to choose a seminary that specializes in training pastors. Those who want to be foreign missionaries find that seminaries specializing in missionary studies are the best choice. However, some schools have an equal focus on both areas.AccreditationSince some religious educational institutions have their own teaching and curriculum standards, not all locations are accredited. Churches hiring pastors or organizations hiring missionaries may not require a degree from an accredited institution. However, there may be some exceptions. Accreditation is important for anyone who wants to work for a major religious organization that is not a church. A degree from an accredited school is also important for anyone who wants to teach or transfer to a secular college after completing seminary. Every theological seminary institution is honest and upfront about accreditation status, so the best way to find out if a school is accredited is to call and ask. While these considerations are two of the most important, there are also other issues to think about before making a final decision. Some schools offer financial aid, and some schools have no government-sponsored financial aid options and few scholarships. It is best to analyze personal finances before putting too much effort into the application process. Campus location and the availability of online courses are also two important considerations that affect most students.
