Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is basicly the same thing as Full Metal Alchemist but Fma Brotherhood follows the plot of the manga more that Fma. So Fma Brotherhood is NOT a continuation of Fma.

Personally I believe that FMA Brotherhood is better. after watching that series watch the original FMA. its got a bit more story, but you need to watch brotherhood first
A band on iTunes has redone most of the FMA songs. However, the voices and instruments are slightly different so this is not where you want to go if you want the original songs. iTunes also has a few free podcasts of some of the FMA brotherhood openings.
The first fma had its own storyline and the second fma brotherhood follows the manga and they both have diffrent stories so there is no chance for a thrid season

You can watch "Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa" which follows Ed after he went through the gate . FMA Brotherhood is a more faithful adaptation from the original manga .
