Yes. Because it's open-source and thousands of programmers all over the world can solve bugs faster than an entire team within a company.
You can already download a Beta of Internet Explorer 8 at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/ie8/getitnow.mspx though there is no known date of when it will be a complete, stable browser. But, I feel I must let you know about Firefox 2 (or better yet, the Firefox 3 beta) or even Safari 3. Those browsers are faster than IE, and Firefox is better all around. Just try it. And download AdBlock Plus. These browsers are already good at following web standards, something Microsoft is still struggling with in IE 8. Here, just try this and see what you think: ftp://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.0b5/win32/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%203.0%20Beta%205.exe
The latest version of Firefox is always considered to be "better." As of right now (3/28/2011), the latest and "best" version of Firefox would be Firefox 4.0.
No. Well, better than Internet Explorer anyway..
You may keep both browsers without any conflicts. Many who prefer Firefox will seldom use IE but keep IE available within the Control Panel for the oft necessary MS Updates, Patches and Hotfixes. MS makes these available only through IE (Surprised?). Yes, I have Firefox 2, Fiefox 3, Internet Explorer 7, Safari, DINT, Opera, OperaUSB and a few others... The only reason I don't delete IE is because I'm not an Admin.
1. Less viruses! Most viruses are designed for IE currently because more people use it 2. Look better =0 In my opinion and has a simpiler interface that only keeps essentials (unlike IE which has multiple tool bars, Firefox only has tabs, addressbar and favorites 3. Free add ons =0 Unlike IE it has free add ons 4. Loads things more smoothly - On my computer, it always glitches up when I load up yahoo in IE but on firefox it loads more smoothly and doesnt have the annoying click click sound lol Disadvantages (These are from http://www.wisegeek.org/what-are-the-pros-and-cons-of-firefox.htm) 1. Compatibility issues. The main disadvantage of Firefox is compatibility. Some websites do not show properly in Firefox, and require you to view them with IE. This includes pages with ActiveX and VBScript, both of which are not supported by Firefox. 2. Memory. Firefox takes a lot of memory to run. Firefox tends to freeze and close when too many tabs are open simultaneously, which is why Firefox invested heavily in creating the recovery memory feature. 3. Interrupted service. Another disadvantage of Firefox is that downloads cannot be resumed if interrupted. Firefox was actually designed for people using high-speed Internet, which means dial-up users can run into many problems along the way.

Yes, it is. Anything is better than Internet Explorer. IE constantly crashes, is slow, & has many inconveniences to it. I've been using Chrome for close to 3 years, and have almost no complaints.
4 yards = 4 x 36 ie 144"; 3 metres = 3 x 39.4 ie 118.2".
Head over to the firefox website and download it.
