The proper name Freawine (aka Frowin or Frowinus) is a figure in Danish and English history, being mentioned in two prominent written records, the Gesta Danorum and the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle (dating from the 12th and 9th centuries, respectively). One version represents him as the father-in-law of a Danish prince or king.

The name was used for a fictional King of the Mark in JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.
