"GW" normally refers to the actual GOLD Weight of an item made from a Gold alloy. A ring that has a wieght of say 5 Grams , and is made in 9K Gold, will have a GW of 1.8749 Grams.
The "k" at the back may refer to gold purity (Karat). Karat is indicated as "Parts of 24" pure Gold. In other words a 9 karat gold ring consists of 9/24 parts pure gold and 15/24 parts of another metal.
