It is against the demonic (evil) witchcraft with magic spells, hexes, conjuring, familiars provided by the Devil etc for obvious reasons not necessarily harmless Wiccans & the two are easily confused hence the problem. There are many Wiccan beliefs in Satanism but they take it to the extreme, hence the fear of Wicca.
Answer:
Witchcraft is "sorcery" ["...to whisper a spell, to enchant, to practice magic]. It's a form of "appeal to the spirit world" for answers. It's a "faith-based belief system" to which our Creator will not play second fiddle.
"Thou shalt have no other gods before Me."
We are told how to worship our Creator in His Word -- "in faith" and "in Spirit" -- and our "jealous" God WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT SHARE THAT with any other "spiritual or physical" entity.
The greatest worship of God is to endeavor to obey His Commandments... the breaking of which is the definition of SIN - I John 3:4. Sin is "rebellion" against what our Creator has commanded of His Children... His special creation.
"...to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For REBELLION is as the SIN OF WITCHCRAFT, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry." (I Sam.15:22-23)
In the bible it says that witchcraft is against God.
Witchcraft is always the work of the devil.
Anyone that went against witchcraft or had suspician would be going "against" God. People wouldnt adematicly think you were siding with the devil.
The Christian case against witchcraft is based on the fact that nowhere in the Bible is witchcraft deemed to be acceptable. All knowledge flows from the Holy Trinity, thus witches and witchcraft are products of Satan.
Saint Benedict of Nursia is the patron saint against witchcraft not the patron saint of witchcraft.
Nothing is specifically mentioned about Harry Potter however, many Christians argue that reading Harry Potter is a sin because God is against witchcraft.
One fact is that the last law against witchcraft was repealed in England in 1951.
they both are against witchcraft
The term 'witchdoctors' is simply not in the Scripture. However, there were many who practiced witchcraft like evil Manasseh in 2 Chronicles 33 who by their very nature against God's Law, would be 'made mad' by God.
None right now, because the laws against witchcraft were abolished hundreds of years ago.
