God thru Jesus Christ IS the only one able to forgive us of our sins. We must
follow & worship him.

Jesus told us to ask God's forgiveness for our sins as we forgive each other, but I would not say that this is a condition, but rather a Godly exhortation for us love and forgive our brothers, which we can only do through God's grace in us.

Confession directly to God helps you but confession to a catholic priest or whatever the catholics practice does not help you. God made it so that we could come to Him with our sins and ask for forgiveness and if we are really sorry about what we have done, He will forgive us. God also made it possible for us to come to Him directly with our prayers, to ask for things. When we ask or confess things to a priest, we are leaving out God, who is the ONLY one who can actually help and forgive us.

Yes, I believe that God did forgive David for committing adultery, and polygamy. I don't fully understand how God forgives us, but, He promises never to leave us, or give up on us.
