The short answer is yes. You need about 1GB of RAM to run Chrome along with any other applications open. Right now I have 9 tabs open and Chrome is the only application I am running right now and I'm using 650MB of RAM if that gives you some perspective. I don't have a lot of applications running in the background either.
There are some tweaks to minimize the amount of RAM Chrome uses, but I would personally install a SSD hard drive. Then you won't have to worry about the amount of RAM so much because the swap file is 10x faster with a SSD. I only have 512MB of RAM but I have a SSD and my old computer flies!
Yes it is 512MB of RAM needed for Firefox 5 bummer. Try an older version of Firefox. Apply's to Windows Mac not sure about the different Linux Distros different requirements for each distro.
Ram is memory. That means you have 67MB of ram left for you to use out of your 256MB of memory.
aimp2 is used to low memory for all computer including low ram memory
Microsoft word 07 requires 256mb of memory.
I have Installed an exstended memory chip in my computer, but I don't know if my computer is reading it, or how to look for its usage
256mb
256MB worth. Witch is terrible!
256MB RAM, 1/4 of 1GB of RAM, is an amount of computer memory (Random Access Memory)
Yes, In normal PCs, There are two modules for adding RAM, one is generally pre-occupied and one is left free to manually add RAM, If you add 1GB RAM with 256MB RAM, it will sum up to 1.25GB of RAM.
If your computer has 256mb ram only, you can add another 256mb ram in it..just go to your nearest computer store and buy another 256mb ram stick. once you have that, open you PC housing and put it in Dimm1 or Dimm 2.
No. PC 266 and PC2700 refer to your bus speed, how fast information is passed through the computer. Your computer can only work as fast as its bus. If your bus speed is 256, no matter what the rated speed of the memory you put in, it will only pass information at the rated speed of the computer. Having said that, it is possible to "over clock" your bus. I don't recommend that, so I will only say that if you want to do that, Google the information.
It comes with a 256mb memory card built in, but it can also use a hardrive for extra storage.
No, the 360 slim has no memory card slots.
