A 1924 Silver Dollar would include the Peace Dollar. If its mint state is very good (VG-8), the value is: $20. Should the mint state be MS-60, the value increases to: $35. What is the value of 1978 silver dollar?

If your 1972 coin is a uncirculated example it may be worth about $5.00 because the 1971 & 1972 issue coins were not included in the Uncirculated Mint sets sold from the Mint in those years. For the Eisenhower series some of the coins struck at the San Francisco Mint (S Mintmark) were 40% silver, but in general none of the Eisenhower dollars regardless of date or mintmark struck for general circulation contain any silver or have more than face value. Only proof and uncirculated collectors coins sold from the Mint have premiums.

What is the value of a 1956 silver quarter in good condition?

It's a very common coin and most are valued just for the silver, about $3.00 as of today. Only mint state coins have higher values of $5.00-$10.00 depending on the grade of the coin.

What is the value of a bicentennial silver dollar in good condition?

6-26-11>>> It's called an Eisenhower dollar and none of the coins regardless of mintmark struck for general circulation are worth more than face value, especially if you got it from a bank or in change. Only Proof & collectors coins sold from the Mint have more than face value. These coins all bear the "S" mintmark and some were struck in 40% silver but not all of them, the silver coins were sold separately.

You have the following Carson City silver dollar proofs in their cases What is the value of the following 1882 1883 1884 1885?

The Carson City Mint did not strike proof coins. Unfortunately many privet mints have made and sold replicas of these coins that have no collectible value at all. But you may have what are called GSA cased Morgans from the Carson City Mint that are uncirculated, not proof coins and they do have good value. Please have a collector or dealer look at the coins for a accurate evaluation.

Did the us mint produce a 1993s and 1993p silver eagle proof?

In 1993, the US Mint produced a American Eagle Silver Bullion proof coin with a mint mark of "P." The 1993 coins that carry a mint mark of "S" and "W" were in a mint state of MS65. Mint State (MS) is a value used to grade the condition of the coin. This range runs from MS60 (not a good quality collector coin) to MS70 (a near perfect UN-CIRCULATED coin) sold directly by the U.S. Mint. The "S" and "W" mint marks indicate that the coin was minted at either San Francisco (S mint mark) or West-point (W mint mark). Even though these coins were specially minted and handled they may have a grade less than MS65 and, in rare cases grade higher than MS65

What is the value of Franklin Mint coins?

Typically the value of Franklin Mint items is its melt value. This is the value of the silver if the item was melted down for its scrap value.Keep in mind that Franklin Mint uses Sterling Silver. It is only 92.5% silver. Pure silver is 99.9% silver. So the melt value is adjusted accordingly. A good rule of thumb is to expect to get about 80% of the price of pure silver. That said, like with any collectible, it is worth what someone else is willing to pay. If you happen to find someone who wants it and values it for more than the melt value, then count yourself lucky, and sell it to them.---- It depends...I sold franklin mint comentaritves for 100 times what they were purchased. But if they had been platinum.. .it would have been 500 times what they were when bought. However they were presidential commentarives..Btw,Franklin mint doesnt use exclusive Sterling Silver... I have franklin mint items that are higher than 92.5% ... However otherwise the above info is good.

1822 silver dollar os mint mark?

Please check again and post a new question. Your dates and mint mark notation do not agree with any known U.S. coin for the following reasons: > The U.S. did not mint any silver dollars for circulation between 1804 and 1835. > The first branch mint was established in 1838 so no coins before that date would carry a mint mark. > There is no "os" mint mark. The New Orleans mint (O) was established in 1838. The San Francisco mint (S) opened in 1854. Note that the market is flooded with counterfeit dollar coins, most made in the Far East and of varying quality. Many are very good, but some are laughably bad with impossible dates and designs. It's possible you have one of the latter.

Where can you sell US silver coins?

Ebay can be a good place to sell coins. If you don't want to do that take it to a coin collector.
