Sure it is. It's a German fairytale about two little children who went into a forest. When they got too deep into it they found the house of a witch.

The house was made of cookies and gingerbread, and because Hänsel and Gretel were so hungry they stayed there.

They lived there for a long time and Gretel had to do all cleaning up and cook all meals, while Hänsel sat and watched and did nothing.

That was, because wanted to fatten Hänsel, because she wanted to eat him up.

But Gretel knew the plan of the old hag and one time when the witch stood on the oven they gave her a kick and she burned an died.

Then they went home.

Hope I could help you. ;)

No, Hansel and Gretel is not considered a tall tale. It is a fairy tale that originated from German folklore and has been passed down through generations. Tall tales typically involve exaggerated or fantastical elements, while Hansel and Gretel is a more traditional story of two siblings outwitting a witch.
