The human body does need a little amount of salt to work OK.

But for most people, we get all the salt we need - and more - from regular food w/o adding any extra salt.

For some people salty Foods are outright dangerous, as they can increase the blood pressure.

For most people, salty Foods are best described as "not bad enough to notice".
