Honduras has three distinct topographical regions: an extensive interior highland area and two narrow coastal lowlands. The interior, which constitutes approximately 80 percent of the country's terrain, is mountainous. The larger Caribbean lowlands in the north and the Pacific lowlands bordering the Gulf of Fonseca are characterized by alluvial plains.
No it is not safe to live there because there are hurricanes.
It depends on how strong it is and if there are any mountains blocking sea breezes (sea breeze don't usually blow higher than 600m above sea level). If you had a 7 knot breeze it would only travel around 50km inland. If you had a 14 knot breeze it would travel around 100km inland. If you had a 21 knot breeze it would travel up to 150km inland (quite unlikely though as sea breezes aren't that strong). But on a normal sea breeze blowing day it would travel about 75km inland.

Yes- although hurricanes build their energy at sea, they can travel a considerable distance inland, weakening as they go.
