Is Indian military more powerful than Chinese military?

No, China is more advanced than India in almost all the fields. China can indigenously build their own fighter jets, AESA radars, 5th Generation jets, Aircraft Carriers, Destroyers etc while India till heavily relies on foreign technology. The only breakthrough India has made was by building their own Hal Tejas but the Indian Air Force didn't really want the jets after they found out it under performed and costed too much.

China also has a more advanced nuclear arsenal that India and report in 2010 said that Pakistans nuclear arsenal is now more advanced than Indias. China has also developed the worlds first ASBM which is capable of destroying the most advanced carriers in just one hit. It has achieved Initial Operation as of 2010.

India doesn't have the technology nor the intelligence to build their own 5th generation fighter jet that is why they are seeking Russias help since Russia needs the money to develop more weaponry.

Only 3 countries have tested and flown a full version of a stealth prototype which is USA, Russia and China.

The EU countries also have the capabilities to produce their 5th gen but it would literally bankrupt them which meant if they ever did try start a program like that, they would either be bankrupt half way through the design phase.

Although India lacks in alot of areas, there are still areas of improvement which while there economy is growing, they can spend more amounts into their defense funding.

China also spends more time on training their pilots and Chinas hacking field is so advanced that they can hack pentagons reports and steal millions of their files before their defenced can detect the spy ware.
