If they are related at all (same Middleton line), it is very distant. Arthur's ancestors came to the United States, while Kate's father's family have always lived in England. She could be a very distant cousin, or not related to him at all.

Technically speaking, all humans are related, as shown by studies in our DNA such as the Human Genome Project. But in most cases it's too distant to matter and I think this is the case with Kate and Arthur Middleton.

It's likely there is a connection between Kate Middleton, and Arthur Middleton. Kate is distantly related to other famous Americans such as George Washington, and Merriweather Lewis, and even General Patton.

I doubt it very much. The surname 'Middleton ' is extremely common in northern England.
