I was 90 miles over the recommended replacement limit when it blew ruining my engine.
I hadn't heard of a timing belt before so woo was I.
Kia was eventually kind enough to replace my engine which was still under warranty.
I am not sure alot of companies had belts at one time but I believe due to this problem many of them migrated back to a chain. You should probably ask a dealer.
