If you are referring to popularity, Lady Gaga might be more popular than Britney Spears. However, Britney has been building up her empire and fan base since 1999, making Lady Gaga's big debut in 2008 seem like nothing. Britney has been around longer and lots of fans, whether they be anywhere from a teenager to an adult. Lady Gaga has just debuted in 2008, with more of a teenage fan base. But since Britney's rough patch in her life, Lady Gaga has rose to fame, but since that Britney has been trying to improve and has been coming back.
