Rumors of the two being more than friends have abounded throughout their season of American Idol. The fact that Lauren laid a big smooch on Scotty after his AI win really set the rumor mill ablaze. However, after the finale, the two once denied the rumors with Lauren stating that they are only "really good friends" and Scotty stating that he is "still single." No they are not. The kiss was planned by Lauren as sort of a joke. Scotty didn't think she'd actually do it but she sure did. In an interview with my local radio station (94.7 QDR, the station he listens to at home) he told them that he and Lauren are like brother and sister and nothing more than that.

He is a favorite, especially to teenage girls, and is usually calm and collected. But, as shown in recent interviews, has a very charming personality, is funny, and extremely outgoing. Scotty is a Christian and wears a cross every week. He is seventeen years old, and has a 21 year old sister named Nicole. P.S: Scotty is one of my favorites this season, although Casey Abrams was my absolute favorite, he went home on the top 6 elimination.
