No he was given the title reverand. LaVey gave it to him though it was not something he entirly wanted but he didnt want to be rude so he accepted it. It isn't something he regrets though either.

Lavey declared him a reverend of the church, which means he represents the church's ideas and beliefs very well (but not nessacarily on purpose or all the time) with his music.
