No, software is rarely 'backwards compatible' - Office 2007 should be happy to work with version 2003 files, but Office 2003 will likely reject 2007 files, due to it not being capable of understanding enhancements made after the Office 2003 software was written.
Documents created with Office '03 or '07 can be opened and edited with Office '10. A document created with Office '10 cannot be opened with earlier versions of Office unless they are specifically saved as earlier versions of Office.
yes because you can save documents as a 1997-2003 document so you can read it on office 2003
Yes.but Microsoft Office 2007 is not
sure you can! but you have to have Microsoft office 2003 and 2007. when you are saving on 2007, go to save as and hit, save copy compatible with Microsoft office 97-2007. its very simple and easy.
It is compatible. It only depends what type of file you save it as. If you are still having incompatibility problems, download the Compatibility Pack for Microsoft Office 2007 form Microsoft Downloads.
Office XP, 2003, 2007 and 2010. Older ones may work, but are unsupported.
don't do this...you can get a Microsoft Office alternative called OpenOffice for free at www.openoffice.org. It is very compatible and looks similar to Office versions prior to 2007.
I know for sure that Office XP (2002), Office 2003, and Office 2007 are compatible. As for earlier versions, I'm not sure, but there is no point in using Office 97 these days anyway. So whatever version you choose (as long as it is not prior to 2002, it will work.
A .docx file is a Microsoft Office Word document, but is only compatible with Microsoft Office Word 2007 and Microsoft Office Word 2010. A .doc file is compatible with previous versions of Microsoft Office Word.
icrosoft office 2007 is newer and has cooler stuff if you already have the 2003 you shouldn't pay to get the 2007
open Microsoft Office word 2007 always re-install Microsoft office 2007
Microsoft Office 2003 was released in on the 19th of August 2003. There are many other Microsoft Offices. Microsoft XP was made before MS office 2003 and Office 2007 was made after.
probably...if they both can save in .doc format, then yes
You need to get Microsoft Office 2007 or Micorosoft Office 2007 upgrade.
