Namibia is a developing country with a total of 13 different cultures. The living conditions are not the best in the world, but it is good enough to cater for average person living here. Here are a lot of things to do from cycling, tourist attractions and a whole lot more. The biggest part of the population is poor in lives in the Northern part of the country. They practise mostly subsistence farming and carry on there traditions from their ancestors. This is partly why they live in poor conditions. The other reason is that before Independence black people did not have a lot of working opportunities. They also did not get the type of education the white people received due to the apartheid south africans.
Nowadays all children go to school and the standards of schooling is high as the educational system was reformed in 2006. Namibia has many tertiary institutions such as UNAM, The polytechnic of Namibia ( which is to become the University of Science and Technology), Colledge of the Arts and many more.
The economy is linked to the south African rand so Namibia does not have a too weak currency. The people living in the central and southern parts of Namibia Live in a range of poor living conditions to high living conditions. There are both black and white business owners and the white people own the least businesses as they make up only about 8 % of the total population.
The country makes money from mining (minerals like uranium, copper and diamonds), tourism, farming, fishing and a few other activities. Namibia does have a wide range other jobs like doctors, nurses, journalism, police, land surveyors, photographers, engineers, teachers, builders, tailors, designers, chefs, commercial farmers, game rangers and many many more. Namibia has the same Job opportunities like most other countries. The biggest factor that plays a role in why Namibia is struggling to become developed is the lack of water and the big divide between the poor, rich and moderate lifestyles of living. Poor people are not payed enough and the rich are greedy. The average person manages only just to survive. The government does not do enough to help spend money and help provide educational programs to enrich everyone.
There are a lot of hospitals, clinics and pharmacies. The government provides medical aid for those who cant afford medical aid from companies. Most companies give their employees benefits but there are instances where lower paying employees get discriminated against and don't receive adequate pay and benefits.
Racism is still a sensitive topic in Namibia although people say there is no discrimination or racism. Mostly the older generation is responsible for this. They don't want to accept each other.
The newer generation does not care about race. They make friends with different people and accept each other as they are. They study together and work together to build up the country in unity.
