I have recently started taking Nucynta for breakthrough pain. I also take 40 mg of Oxy twice a day and took Ultram for a long time. (years) I love the Nucynta and to answer your question, in my case.............the Nucynta is a LOT more powerful and effective than the Ultram/Ultracet. It starts working very quickly (I take it every 6 hours as needed).
In my opinion, the Nucynta is more effective than the percs and vics I was taking for breakthrough pain also.
I think you will be very satisfied.

∙ 12y agoNorco is an opiate pain killer - hydrocodone similar to vicodin. Ultram is not an opiate pain killer. Its a pain killer but its VERY WEAK and only binds to the opiate receptors in your brain.

No...I've mixed them together...its okay...what mg is the o.c? They are much stronger than Norco and it could possibly make you sick...it just depends on your tolerance
