That's hard for me to say. True, numerology is not a science and not real, and no one can actually predict the future or see the past, or tell you anything intelligent based on mystical number patterns.
But like palm reading, some believe it's real, and if you are willing to pay money to hear them look at your palm or study your "numbers", then you are actually getting exactly what you are paying for.
You are paying them to do something impossible, they try and say they did. But you won't know till later, and must pay them now. But don't worry, they'll never actually be wrong. No palm reader or numerologist is ever going to be specific, so you'll never be able to show they were wrong.
After all, what are they going to predict? That your life will become happy? Well, it either will, or if it doesn't, they'll claim it will eventually. And if you pay $10 for a "lucky lottery number" who's to say it isn't lucky?
Therefore...you weren't quite scammed!
Numerology is a bankrupt pursuit.
