for me it is not fair, because Odysseus and he's comrades are just protecting there self from Polyphemus the cyclops who is the son of Poseidon. And Odysseus didn't need any help from God because he can handle on the situation and he's smart after all.
God is fair and just in all of his punishment of sin.
He is like his father Odysseus, in that he is loyal and is disgusted by evil. He also, like his father, is willing go fight for his freedom.
Just society is being fair to others and you
Rather than directly testing Odysseus and questioning him, Penelope asks her maid Eurycleia to move the great bed that Odysseus himself made with his own hands. This is a clever way of testing Odysseus because the bed was made in a way that would be near impossible to move and Odysseus finds Penelopes words 'a knife in [his] heart' The bed was made by using the trunk of an olive tree as the first bedpost, the tree was still rooted to the ground so Odysseus claims that even a man in his prime wouldn't be able to move the bed. Odysseus and Penelope are the only people to know how the bed was created so Odysseus has just give proof that he truly is who he says he is.
Polyphemos is not a villan to him, but once he started eating Odysseus' men, he became a villan. Not so much a villan, but more of an enemy. His actions are not justified because Odysseus did not have a tender heart to forgive him or even strike a deal about eating his men. He just blinded/totured him which was wrong.
God is fair and just in all of his punishment of sin.
He was unfair. Polphemus may be a brute, but as long as he is on that island he can't hurt the rest of the world. So Odysseus should have just ran away.
The clause that deals with the concept of the punishment fitting the crime is the principle of proportionality. This principle holds that the severity of punishment should be commensurate with the seriousness of the offense committed, ensuring a fair and just outcome in the criminal justice system.
Yes. Ulysses is just another version of Odysseus.
The Odysseus feelings about the Cyclopes is unbearable. The Odysseus is very graceful to the Cyclopes but he just doesn't understand.
The phrase "fair traffic" can refer to the concept of just and equitable exchange or trade. In Greek mythology, the Cyclops asks these questions to understand if Odysseus and his men have come as friends or foes, as their intentions will determine the Cyclops' response.
