All U.S. presidents can be elected to no more than two terms, as specified by the 22nd Amendment. Mr. Obama served his first term after winning the 2008 election; and he is about to begin his second term, having won the 2012 election.

  • The polls are favorable and Intrade has him at around 60% likely to be reelected.
  • No one knows. Recently, Obama has been acting like a Republican in order to get as many votes as possible, in my opinion.
  • He will be the Democratic party's nomination for President. His Republican opponents are still trying to determine who will run against him. Until that is known predictions are difficult, although it looks pretty good when you compare potential candidates.

No, President Obama was re-elected for the last time in November 2012. The 22nd amendment to the US Constitution prevents anyone from seeking a third term. Obama cannot be re-elected again for a third term.

No. Since 1951, there has been a constitutional amendment stating that a president may not serve more than two terms. Since Mr. Obama was elected in 2008 and re-elected in 2012, he will have to stand aside in 2016 and let others run for president.

President Obama can only serve two terms. He has been elected for a second time in 2012, so he cannot be elected again.
