I belive he did, although maybe not as much as Firestar ended up loving her. If you remember, when Sand"paw" (at the time) started to feel fond of Firepaw, Dustpelt started getting moody or grumpy, giving Firepaw sideways looks and glaring at him when she layed down beside Firepaw. "Firepaw dragged him self to his nest, barley able to stand. He colsped in his bed of leaves. His eyes wanderd for a moment. Sandpaw opened one eye and stood quietly. She stumbled carefully and layed beside Firepaw where she closed her eyes. Dustpaw glared at Firepaw, staring sadley at Sandpaw and curled himself into a ball on the cold winter night." So, i suspect he loved her, but don't feel bad. He's had plenty of healthy kits with Ferncloud! :) THEY HAD 9 I THINK

∙ 13y agoIf Firestar hadn't come to Thunderclan, I believe that Dustpelt and sandstorm would have been mates. I know that when Dustpelt was Dustpaw, he liked sandstorm.
yah but would Squirelpaw be born to go on the journey with Brambleclaw? Would Ferncloud still have been born because if she was, Dustpelt would fall for her like he did and Sandstorm would be left matless even if SHE saw Firestar in the forest because I don't think Firestar would be the cat he was today if Bluestr hadn't brought him in then he saved Sandstorm.
No, Sandstorm and Dustpelt are not littermates. Sandstorm is the daughter of Brindleface and Redtail, while Dustpelt's parents are unknown.
