yes scorpios are the darkest sign. the ones who hide their emotion, although they have the most of it. they have trust issues, and wont tell their feelings/secrets to anyone. they are quiet, yet tons is going inside their head. they tend to be gothic/emo and are born the closest to halloween. they usually fall for geminis, because these two signs are opposite, yet perfect for each other. scorpios are life changers. they're the ones who will eventually rule the world. scorpios are usually depressed, but they learn to live with it.

You have the right idea, but in reality; they are miserable because they are hideous and they know it. Most scorpios had their life wrecked somewhere along the line; so instead of trying to make it better; they try to wreck everyone elses. They tend to feed off other's insecurities to try and make themselves feel better. They show no sign of conscience; and they have no genuine remorse for anything they've ever done. They must always know someone elses business, and openly judge them for it. They are excellent manipulators, and usually know how to get what they want. They don't hide their emotions, because they don't really have any. Try looking into them; you'll eventually find there's nothing there at all. And actually, Taurus and Scorpio are opposites, and in Astrology; opposites DON'T attract.
