No, it is not. The Ivy League includes "old" schools that have been around since Colonial or near-Colonial times, and all of them are in the New England area. They include Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth Harvard, Princeton, the University of Pennsylvania and Yale (in alphabetical order). These schools were in operation long before Texas, where Southwestern is located, became a state. Come to think of it, Southwestern, the oldest university in Texas, was founded in 1840, which is about 5 years before the admission of Texas to the Union!
